A message from the President
Welcome to a new and exciting
year for PPGCS, we've got some guess speakers that I think
our members will really enjoy listening to. For the January
20th meeting that will be held at ViewPoint, we will need
to hold our annual business meeting for elections, annual
reports, fellowship awards and other various business matters
that are required by our organization. Since many of our
members business income were less than they were in 2003,
we opted to hold the meeting at ViewPoint and we will have
food and refreshments during the meeting at no cost to our
members.
If you paid your dues before the
end of 2005, then you will get to come to the Greg Stangl
seminar for Free on Sunday, Feb. 13th, paid for by PPGCS
and cosponsored with PPC. Our goal was to help kick start
your business and give it that boost right from the start
in 2005. More to come on that in the coming weeks.
I'd like to wish all our members
a happy and prosperous year for 2005 and know this will
be a better year for everyone.
PPG's President,
Thomas J. Henn, PPA Certified, M.Photog

Information Sent Out in the
December PPGCS Newsletter
on date for Greg Stangl has changed
I have been getting some phone
calls regarding the Greg Stangl seminar and when our first
2005 PPGCS will be held. Let first tell you that the information
sent out in the December newsletter on date for Greg Stangl
has changed. I'll get back to that in just a minute.
First we need to talk about the first PPGCS
meeting will be held because is seems this message in not
reaching everyone. On Jan. 20th at 7:00 PM, we will hold
our first meeting that includes the annual board of elections
and awards, along with this will be the drawing of the gift
certificates. You must be a current paid member (and this
email list is) to be eligible for the gift drawings. So
make sure you attend this meeting, it could be worth than
the dues you just paid for. Just so everyone knows, the
meeting will be held at the Viewpoint Retirement Center,
555 Rockrimmon Blvd. in Colorado Springs. The social hour
will begin at 6:30 PM, with the meeting starting at 7:00
PM We plan to have refreshments and light food for this
meeting.
For all people that paid their membership before
12/31/04, you are eligible to go see Greg Stangl in Denver
on Sunday, Feb. 13th at no cost to you. PPGCS will pay for
this days seminar, BUT you must fill out the registration
form that I will bring to the guild meeting on the 20th.
So again it's very important for you to attend this meeting
next Thursday. Our members will also get the benefit of
paying just $49 for the second day if you wish to attend
that class too. But again in order to get this super price,
you must fill out the registration form and send it in to
Tom Hissong by Jan. 24th, otherwise it will cost you $109
for the 2nd day not $49. You can also go to the www.PPColorado.com
and download the form and send in to Tom. Because we have
to wait and see how many people are attending the Greg Stangl
seminar, I won't be able to tell you the location until
the end of the month. This should be an exciting year for
our members and I look forward to seeing everyone on Jan.
20th.
PPG's President,
Thomas J. Henn, PPA Certified, M.Photog

Wanted: Member Profiles
Send profile and images to
Allisonearnest@yahoo.com
There are a lot of amazing people
in this organization. Some people we know well and others
we would like to get to know better. Member profiles accomplish
two things: First, it lets others know who you are, where
you have been, and where you are going. Second, it helps
the guild board members tailor speakers and lectures that
meet the needs of our diverse membership.
We would love to know you!

Quotable Quotes
It takes a lot of imagination to be a good
photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter
because you can invent things. But in photography everything
is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn
to see the extraordinary.

Within every man and woman a secret is hidden,
and as a photographer it is my task to reveal it if I can.
-Yousuf

Photography suits the temper of this age - of active bodies
and minds. It is a perfect medium for one whose mind is
teeming with ideas, imagery, for a prolific worker who would
be slowed down by painting or sculpting, for one who sees
quickly and acts decisively, accurately.
