The 2005 PPGCS Board of
Directors
A message from the President
It's hard to believe that half
a year has slipped by already. Several of the PPGCS took
the Imaging Workshop class in Breckenridge and we had a
great time along with several days of good teaching at the
school. I took Scott Dupras's Painter Class and learned
a lot from Scott. I can see why he wins so many awards.
As we start to look towards next
years planning of programs, I am again asking for the members
help in planning the events for next year. The board needs
to hear for our members on what type of programs they would
like to see and hear. Since we have such a diverse group,
we want to schedule programs that can help all our members.
So Drop me an email,
give a board member a phone call or talk to me at the monthly
meeting. We want your input.
This month's speaker is Gary Phillips
of Littleton, CO. Gary does excellent outdoor photographic
work and is well respected by his peers for finding the
perfect background to photograph HS Senior, Families and
even their pets. You will definitely this program.
PPG's President,
Thomas Henn, PPA Certified, M.Photog. CR.

The Art of Seeing
By Gary D. Phillips, M. Photog.
Making something out of nothing is the art
of learning to see everyday things creatively. After this
program
you
will look at the world around you with totally different
eyes. The areas you drive by on your daily travels will
look entirely different after you put these ideas and suggestions
to work.
Garys program will focus on finding
unique design elements on location. You will learn to see
backgrounds where none seem to exist before. You will
discover
what he looks for in a location, the power of composition,
the use of color harmony, clothing selection to complement
the design and many more ideas to make your images get noticed.
Many of Garys award-winning images have been created
using the ideas he will present in this program.
Whether you photograph children, families,
high school seniors or want new tips for print competition,
this program is for you! This isnt rocket science
its
ART!

There are a lot of amazing people

we would like to get to know better. Member profiles accomplish
two things: First, it lets others know who you are, where
you have been, and where you are going. Second, it helps
the guild board members tailor speakers and lectures that
