A message from the President

July is normally the month we all try and have a little fun during our busy work schedules, and having the PPGCS party at Rite Bale's house was just the ticket for fun. The little bit of rain that came just before the start of the party made it comfortable for everyone. Thanks Rita for hosting the party and showing us your now renovated studio in the woods.

This month’s speaker is Grant Oakes and he will be talking about the digital photography world. I think you will find an evening with Grant a good one.
It’s now almost August and if you haven’t thought about the September print competition, you might want to get started. Keep in mind you will need to mount your prints on a 16x20 board unless you are a Master Photographer. We will again have a Master Photographer be our judge and award 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. So start working on your image.

PPG's President,
Thomas Henn, PPA Certified, M.Photog. CR.

His approach is that of providing his clients with high quality photography along with superb customer service in a low volume, relaxed atmosphere. Member Profile:
Michael J. Pach

Michael J. Pach was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Pueblo in August of 1996 after living in the St. Louis for 11 years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from St. Louis University and an MBA from Maryville University in St. Louis. He spent 11 years working as an engineer in the aerospace industry.

His interest in photography started with his first backpacking trip to Colorado as a high school sophomore. Armed with his brother’s 35mm SLR, he fell in love with photography and the beauty of the Colorado Rockies. This experience is the main reason he is a Colorado resident and a photographer.

Mike started his own business, AdventureCam Photography, in July of 2000 after leaving the engineering world. He has since won 32 awards for his illustrative photography and has had his work published 20 times. He is also a member of the Southern Colorado Photography Society, the Pikes Peak Digital Imaging Society and the Art of the Rockies Association (ARA). His work has been on display at the Pueblo Art Guild, in a variety of ARA shows in Salida, at the Sangre de Cristo Art Center in Pueblo and at the Artazia Gallery in Old Colorado City. Mike’s line of unique screensavers can be found in several gift shops across the state, and he has recently completed a DVD version of his book, Colorado Inspirations, which is a collection of photos and poetry.

Mike has taken AdventureCam Photography from a small, art-based business into a strong online resource for digital imaging equipment and supplies including ink jet printers, inks, papers, color management equipment and software. He also offers web site design and hosting. Visit Mike’s web site and online gallery at www.adventurecamphoto.com.
