Lighting On Location

August 2, 2016

A few times a year we try to have the Guild meeting on location--in June we met at Rockledge Ranch and had a posing on location class taught by the Guild's own Tim Skrastins and Trish Turpenoff.

In July we had the opportunity to hear from local photographer Simone Severo. We met in a local park in the north end of town and had a lighting demo with a model to learn about different types of location lighting and how to make effective use of the sun with artificial lighting.  Simone is an accomplished author having just completed her book project to photograph one person a day for a year. Called A Portrait A Day, One Photographer's Journey, you can read more about the book here.

We are back at the Fire Station for our August meeting on Fine Art Photography with Kathleen McFadden of The Range Gallery.

We are already planning an exciting 2017 schedule of classes and speakers.  The Guild is planning on bringing in some top notch speakers for 2017 including Bob Coats, M. Photog and M. Artist from Sedona, AZ.
