Transitioning To In Person Sales

February 28, 2019

Our own, Kristi Williams, CPP, gave an in-depth presentation on Transitioning to In Person Sales on February 21st. What is In Person Sales (or IPS)? It is meeting face to face with your client at some point after your photography session with them for the purpose of selecting the best images to create prints and other products. Kristi began her photography career by using the Shoot-andBurn method--offering a very low price for a session that included all the digital files burned to a disc or flash drive. Kristi finally learned after much struggle that to have a sustainable business she needed to learn a few things: what her numbers were (how much profit/loss she was incurring) and what to charge based on her numbers.  Sharing personal experiences of her own transition to IPS and what she has learned to enable her current success, Kristi gave us a well thought out foundation to move forward in IPS. She provided real statistics and a road map to elevate your business by utilizing IPS and left attendees with ample information to apply strategies in their own respective businesses. Kristi is part of what is now called the Print Movement, ensuring that the most over photographed generation ever will actually have some archival prints to enjoy in the future. Want to lean more about the print movement? See how Anne Geddes relates her thoughts on the importance of the printed image.
